Jazz Jurassica wants to turbo-charge your evenings with jazz suppers at The Gateway Theatre, Seaton and The Royal Lion Hotel, Lyme Regis. It will offer a unique experience as the only cabaret-style music supper club on the Jurassic Coast. Anything Ronnie Scotts can do, we can do….differently!
Our jazz suppers will offer more than just great music and delicious food. But somewhere you can kick back, meet up with old friends or make new ones, in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.

We’ll deliver the best combination of music and supper on your doorstep. We’re asking world class performers to travel that extra mile, so you don’t have to. You’ll hear artists with national reputations as well as the rising stars without ever leaving the area.
You’ll enjoy a great night’s entertainment from the comfort of your seat. There’ll be table service throughout the evening.

You will join others on our sociable tables. So, there’ll be room to sit with friends and also make space for new ones.
Moreover, we’d particularly like to welcome customers planning to come on their own. There’s no need to feel like “billy no mates” because we’ll all be in the same boat, sitting together!
8 is definitely the magic number – because if you book for 8, then we’ll automatically knock 5% off your bill! So it’s worth rustling up some chums to make up numbers.

We used to run a successful series of jazz suppers in Lyme Regis. Since then we’ve been itching to find a new venue.
We think The Gateway is perfect. Roomy but intimate. And it’s a great way to introduce jazz onto the menu in Seaton. We hope you’ll support us! And latterly we’re starting to host suppers at The Royal Lion Hotel, Lyme Regis which is a 17th century coaching inn, nestled in the heart of the town.
Jazz Supper menus
The special jazz supper includes two courses – a main course followed by a dessert. This is included in the ticket price.
In Seaton the menu is specially prepared by Le Pisani . Here, “the chefs use a clever combination of locally sourced ingredients with Maltese and Italian products for a dash of authenticity. The Mediterranean influence dusts every dish and gives this intimate little eatery a strong reputation for serving up fresh flavoursome food that is simply delicious”.
In Lyme Regis supper is prepared by the restaurant in The Royal Lion which is well-regarded for its food.
Buying Tickets
When you buy your ticket, you’ll be asked to choose a main course, one of which is vegetarian. A delicious dessert automatically comes with it!
Both vegan and gluten-free options are catered for within the main menu.

FAQ
Do I need to book in advance?
Absolutely. There will be no tickets available on the night.
How do I book?
Click on Buy Tickets and you’ll be directed to our online ticket agent, Ticket Source. There, navigate to the event and book the number and type of main course corresponding to your party’s preferences.
Can I choose where I sit?
We will allocate seating on tables for 8. However, if you wish to sit with friends, you’ll be able to indicate this when booking and we will do our very best to accommodate your preferences.
Why can't we choose where to sit?
Because we will have to serve a large number of meals in a relatively short time, we need full tables without any gaps as this will speed up service times and keep costs lower. If you want to sit with friends, you can request this at the time of booking.
Friends have booked separately - can we still sit together?
Yes. When booking, we’ll ask whether you wish to be seated with another party, even if they’ve booked separately.
What times should I arrive?
Doors will open at 6.15 pm in readiness for foodservice at approximately 7pm. The bar will be open from 6.15 pm.
What times does the bands start and finish
Music will begin at 8pm and finish by 10pm, with an interval after 45 minutes.
What time do we eat?
Food will be served at table from 7pm and be completed by 8pm. Drinks will be served at table from 6.15pm and throughout the evening.
We regret we’re unable to serve tea or coffee.
Can I see the show without booking supper?
We will release a limited number of row tickets only after selling our quota of supper tickets. We cannot guarantee their availability. If you definitely want to see the show we highly recommend you book supper tickets! For not much extra money you get 2-course supper.
Are there any discounts or concessions?
We are offering a 5% discount if you book a table for 8.
Can we talk during the performance?
We respectfully ask you to keep conversation to a minimum during performances out of respect for the artists and fellow guests. Chatting between songs and, of course, in the interval is fine!
Do you cater for special diets?
Yes. The menu has been designed to cover vegan and gluten options.
Do I need to pick up tickets?
No. We will not be issuing physical tickets. Instead your name will be automatically added to the evening’s guest list once you book.
