Jazz Supper Club
For too long local jazz fans and music lovers have needed to travel many miles to enjoy the music they love. The Dorset and Devon coasts are ravishing places to live but a bit off the beaten track.
Now we’re promising to deliver the best combination of music and supper right here on your doorstep – for you and visitors to the area to enjoy. We ask world class performers to travel those extra miles, so you don’t have to.
You can enjoy artists with national reputations, without ever having to leave the area and a great night’s entertainment from the comfort of your seat.
Take your seats for supper!
Our jazz suppers are known for their friendly welcoming vibe. You will join others on our sociable tables. There’ll be room to sit with old friends and to make space for new ones.
Moreover, we’d particularly like to welcome customers planning to come on their own. There’s no need to feel like “billy no mates” because we’ll all be in the same boat, sitting together! If you’d like to know more about flying solo, see here.
If you’re coming mob-handed, then 8 is definitely the magic number. Because if you book for 8, then we’ll automatically knock 5% off your bill! So it’s worth rustling up some chums to make up numbers.
Live Music and Food in Lyme Regis
Can we really sprinkle some of that Ronnie Scott magic dust on the Jurassic Coast? You bet we can!
Harlem had the iconic Cotton Club, where celebrities, politicians and gangsters famously rubbed shoulders. And Soho’s home to the legendary Ronnie Scott’s, attracting anyone who’s anyone in the jazz world to its stage. And now jazz can nestle by the seashore with suppers in both Lyme Regis and Seaton.
The Royal Lion Hotel in Lyme Regis has been hosting and feeding guests since the seventeenth century. It’s nestled into the heart of the town on its main high street. It offers intimacy and good food in its first floor oak panelled dining room. There, you can enjoy comfort and tradition.
You can find out more about The Royal Lion here.
Live Music and Food in Seaton
In Seaton, The Gateway Theatre is a popular local cultural hub and provides a larger space and a dedicated stage. Because of its size we can accommodate more guests and squeeze in customers who just want to join us for the music.
Seating is on large round tables accommodating upto 8 people.
The food is specially prepared for us by the proprietor of Le Pisani in Seaton. Darren is originally from Malta and specialises in the Mediterranean cuisine of the island.
Supper Menus
The special jazz supper includes two courses – a main course followed by a dessert. This is included in the ticket price.
In Seaton the menu is specially prepared by Le Pisani. Here, “the chefs use a clever combination of locally sourced ingredients with Maltese and Italian products for a dash of authenticity. The Mediterranean influence dusts every dish and gives this intimate little eatery a strong reputation for serving up fresh flavoursome food that is simply delicious”.
In Lyme Regis supper is prepared by the restaurant in The Royal Lion which is well-regarded for its food.

Why can't we choose where to sit?
Because we will have to serve a large number of meals in a relatively short time, we need full tables without any gaps as this will speed up service times and keep costs lower. If you want to sit with friends, you can request this at the time of booking.

We are offering a 5% discount if you book a table for 8.

We respectfully ask you to keep conversation to a minimum during performances out of respect for the artists and fellow guests. Chatting between songs and, of course, in the interval is fine!

Yes. We can usually cater for vegan and gluten diets, just let us know either before you book or after booking by emailing lymejazz@gmail.com.
Do I need to pick up tickets?
No. We will not be issuing physical tickets. Instead your name will be automatically added to the evening’s guest list once you book. So, don’t worry if you forget to bring your email ticket or can’t find it – we’ve got you covered!
Can I come on my own?
Yes, of course. In fact we positively welcome bookings from lone customers. You’ll get a personal welcome on the door and shown to your seat and introduced to your “neighbours” for the evening. And they’re a friendly crowd. You could end up making new friends. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Julie at lymejazz@gmail.com
